WOOSH ! shack-ed. jus came bak frm NCO camp ! hahas. anw jus a whole report on wat's going on the past 3 days as i was out on a camp =D. first dae rite, on 24th oct, we had our promotion ceremony =D grats to all promotees ! hahs. den we had our annual outing and the venue is botanic gardens so we actually had a sanwich competition where every group would nd to make a sandwich out of the ingredients they had brought along and will be judged upon the group with the most creative sandwich , most nutritious and the most presentable wan. hhas.. den ataft dat, we had some telematches andd oso teambuilding games. =D hope everyone had fun yea ^^ anw aft that we had prize presentation and aft which we headded bak to sch.
once bak in sch, the NCO camp starts =D so all the campers got bak to their uniform and since capt riyaz is busy, we str8 away started the camp. so first of all, we had them to get into their groups using pt. so as i was group 1's facilitator, my group members are Danial , Queenie, Clarice and Amelia =D and my effiecient group helper is Adam ! =D so aft they got into their groups, we had some icebreaker games which is double wacko, pass the coin, around the world and pass the bottle =D hahas. they were having SOOOOOOOO MUCH fun =D aft games, we had dinner den aft that Si Lin conducted a lesson on the different types of leaders to the campers. After the lesson , we had them walk through a haunted house made by the camp staff =D although most of them are quite afraid, but all of them made it through and said "I wanna go again ! " hahas =D aft that, we had them take a shower before we had a debrief, group reflections and had them pen down their thoughts in their lil notebook =D oh ya. aft dat we sung a birthdae song to Dzuraij AKA OBAMA =D den he kept running away .. hahas.. =D den we ate cake too =D
aft their reflections, we had them get their sleeping bag, poncho, torch and whistle as they are gonna have their solo night, which means every individual campers gotta sleep alone in a dark place as deployed by the respective group facs. so i deployed mine. aft 3 hours, since all of the camp crew are tired, i went alone to ask all campers to go back to their bunks to sleep =D den aft dat i went to sleeep zZzZzZz
slept for like 3 hours? den woke up for the morning pt as conducted by Dzuraij.aft pt, we had breakfast. den we were supposed to hav footdrill str8 away aft breakfast but capt riyaz decided to have a check on us on cleanliness in our bunks so we quickly got ready for the check. however, we weren't up to standard and got 60 push-ups as a result -.- but the guys operations got 170 o.o
aft dat, si lin, nazrul and haikal got changed to get ready to conduct footdrill lessons while the rest of us stayed in the bunks to discuss on our amazing race later. aft which i went out to the parade sq to take some fotos of their footdrill training. aft their footdrill, they changed to their pt kit and we started the amazing race. we came up wif different riddles on their venues =D for dzuraij's stn rite, where it is near the garbage center, the riddle was "headquarters for pests like flies and rats" den hazlyn's rite, D & T block, "place wif stuff like saw and hammer" hahs. den mine rite, lockers area " turn, turn, open wif specific codes" kinda broken... but anw for nazrul's, foyer, "every FOUR YEARS, it is a leap year" hahas. cool cool =D
aft amazing race, we had dinner and aft dat we got ready for our night walk at JK there. we walked, and walked, and walked till we reach our destination den like last year, they walked in pairs through a deserted route in the dark w/o allowing them to use their torch . hahas. den aft dat we walked the route racky-ed out by some of he camp crew and actually there were some wild dogs in route 2 de... den the gang moved down to route 1 and unfortunately, mine and dzuraij's group was assigned to route 1 so guess wad? we bumped into the dogs. LOL. as in literally bump not physically. if not i wun be here typing le cos there were like 6-7 dogs or more? crap la. den got one that kept staring at us and moving forward. so we had no choice but to U-turn and walk bak... on the way we gave them a scenario and see how's their reaction and responses to those scenarios. im like "hurry up " cos im afraid of the dogs -.- lol. ok acutually i shouldn't hurry them de.... but... scared ma. xD anw aft that we did cheers and songs while walking bak to sch and the campers took a bath and den we had supper and group reflections. so i kept emphasising to my group that ALWAYS take initaitive and work fast and oso respond to anything the I/C infront. so we had reflections den they head to bed while he camp crew took their bath and then we slacked till 3 am
at 3am we got them to have a fire drill den guess wat? den took soo long... den we got them to redo agn as they ran bak to the classroom . However, Nurul FELL DOWN! im like oh shit ! budden the rest of them went ahead running and onli hillary and queenie bothered to help ... i guess they are afraid of being punished so we couldn't blame them.... nurul injured her elbow, had abrasions on her knees and face T.T sobs.... anw she got taken care of by us as she slept wif us in the operations room so we can monitor her condition. aft the drill, we slept for 2 hours and den headed for morning pt.
aft pt rite, dey had their breakfast and den dey got ready for area cleaning. mine and hazlyn's group was allocated to the toilets near the campers' bunks so we gotta remove our shoes and clean 'em. since mi and hazlyn hav camera and the other group facs dun have i lent mine to erra so she could take some of those n her group too. =D aft dat we quickly passed our cameras to geraldine so she can consolidate the fotos to make a video. aft area cleaning, we had the groups to redo their MOI on their telematches that they came up wif and we decided to plae the game group Chickadee and Seth came up wif. modified basketball =D so we play and play and play D hahas. group Nutcracker and Seth in the match against Oscar and chickadee. so they VS-ed some of the camp crew. =D
den aft dat we played modified frisbee for awhile before getting them to get their belongings from their bunks. so aft dat we had them to proceed to the girls' bunk to have the prize presentation and video. and the results was Best Group : Nutcracker (MY group!), Best Cadet (Male) : Danial, Best Cadet (Female): Hillary, Best Group(Telematch): Nutcracker and Seth =D yoooohoooo ! since my camera by then had low batt, i couldn't take the pictures of the prize winners so i used wei sin's fone. =D den aft dat, we headed to the foyer for a debrief and fotograph session . =D aft dat head hme le. =D
was soooooo glad dat my group won the best group award and the best group in telematch too =D am oso glad dat my words and advice got into their heads and oso, i hope dat graduates from this camp will contd to lead the unti to greater heights !
